The R11 was originally built for the
growing sport of airgun field target shooting, but has also found a home in the real
hunting field. This air rifle features a truly
ambidextrous stock that will comfortably
fit either right or left-handed shooters.
The deeply grooved and stippled forearm
and pistol grip allow for a firm grip under
all shooting conditions. The cheekpiece
can be adjusted up to two inches, and the
butt plate assembly allows for up to two
inches of adjustment and can be locked
into any practical amount of cant. These
adjustments provide an excellent variety of positions from high "heads-up" offhand
shooting to prone.
The beautifully blued, all-steel barrel
sleeve covers the carbine barrel and helps
reduce muzzle flip and adds to stability.
Combine this with the stock adjusted to
your body and shooting technique and
the airgun just seems to "lock onto" your
intended target. The famous Beeman
two-staged "R" series trigger is fully
adjustable for the shooters preference, and
comes with an automatic safety along the
left-hand side of the receiver / body tube
and is easily operated with the thumb.
The RII's dovetailed receiver is specifically
designed for scope use only; no sights
mar the sleek profile of this delightful air
rifle. Available in .177 caliber only, this
air rifle shoots at velocities up to 950 fps.
For those who enjoy field target competition, the R11 can be a genuine contender
in the standard piston class right out of
the box. With the exception of a good
scope and mounts, no additions or acces-
sories are needed. This is one of the
models successfully used by our own
shooting team.
