In 2002 Feinwerkbau came out with the
long awaited, factory made P70 Field
Target air rifle. This air rifle offers the
same smooth shooting and incredible
accuracy as the 10 meter version, but at a
much higher power level.
As a super accurate competition level air
rifle, the P70FT will hold its own with any
other airgun in the field target arena. Our
testing has showed that the P70FT shot
almost all pellet types well. All of our test
shots resulted in a one-hole group at 10
meters. In 2001, a pre-production proto-
type P70FT won the U.S. Field Target
National Championships; how's that for a
test run?
But, the P70FT isn't limited to the com-
petition arena. For shooters that enjoy
top quality air rifles for their pest control or non-competition target shooting, the
P70FT will fill either role easily. This air
rifle will make almost any shooter look
like a seasoned marksman.
Charged by a SCUBA cylinder to 3,000
P.S.I., this precision compressed air rifle
for Field Target shooting has a power of
approximately 15 foot pounds (PP) in the
Us version. Our test was performed with
a 9.2 grain U.S pellet which yielded 14.6
FP and a velocity of 870 fps. At 50 yards,
this air rifle is capable of achieving 1/2"
groups; perfect for knocking down long
distance targets in any field target compe-
tition.
One of the easiest air rifles on the market
to cock, just pushing the slide forward
with either thumb charges the firing area,
sets the trigger and opens the loading port. The shooter then loads the pellet
directly into the bore, clicks the loading
gate shut, aims and fires.
The aluminum stock (available in either
red or blue) provides a great number of
adjustments that will allow the air rifle to
become custom fitted to any shooter. The
anatomical grips, buttplate and cheek-
piece can all be adjusted individually to
precisely conform to the shooter's body.
The ease and simplicity of the system
provides an unequaled lack of distraction
to the shooter, something that is critical to
competitive shooters. In a match the
rhythm of the shooting is as important as
the feel of the air rifle, and the P70FT was
designed so that the shooting motions are
the same shot after shot.
