Built in the fine tradition of German
craftsmanship, the HW70A air pistol is
one of the best values on the airgun market. Its moderate size is comfortable for both
large and small hands and encourages
anyone to take it along on an outing. The
gentle firing behavior of the HW70A is
another strong point. Although lacking
any complex recoilless mechanism, it fires
with low vibration and with only enough
recoil to give a smooth "sense of firing".
The fine barrel and receiver bear an
extremely durable, dark blue-black epoxy finish of unusually high gloss; the grip is a
deep brown with sharply molded checkering
and right and left stippled thumb grooves,
and a scratch-resistant texture.
For an economy air pistol, the HW70A
has one of the finest triggers available; the
two-stage unit pulls back evenly and consistently to a stop, at which point the
shooter knows just the slightest bit more
pressure will release the trigger. A wide,
beautifully grooved trigger blade is
machined from aluminum, and adds to
the control of the air pistol. The HW70A
includes an automatic safety on the left side,
which is engaged each time the airgun is
cocked, and can easily be disengaged or reengaged with the thumb. The HW70A has a very good accuracy for a spoiling air pistol,
thanks to the full six-inch barrel with the
fine 12-groove rifling. 'I 'he firearm grade
rear sight is adjustable for windage and
elevation, and the hooded post front sight
allows for quick centering on the target.
Attractive and fun to shoot, the HW70A
air pistol would make an excellent addition
to any collection. Download the STATISTICS pdf here
