HW97 pictured with a new stock for 2005/2006. The HW97 is designed for the shooter who would use a scope on an air rifle. In 1994 the sights were removed and were replaced with a muzzle barke in the front and the reciever was grooved to accept a 11mm mount. In 1998 the HW97 was given a power upgrade. Most recently the HW97 barrel was shortened to 11 1/2 inches, the cheekpiece is slightly more angular and the pistol grip has more vertical pitch. By Shortening the barrel and replacing the barrel weight with a steel version, the balance of the airgun was greatly improved and the lock time has shortened. The HW97 is available in .177 or .20 caliber. The HW97 has become a favorite among field target shooters.
